01 / The model

Most physical therapy is three patients an hour. This one isn't.

You will not be left on a table with a heat pack while somebody else runs the room. From your first visit to your last, you work with the same licensed clinician, and your plan is built around what your body is actually doing, not printed off a sheet for your diagnosis.

  1. A proper first look

How far the joint moves, how strong it is, how much it can handle, and how everything around it is working. Not just the spot that hurts.

  2. A plan on day one

Your exercises start at the first visit, not three appointments later. You leave knowing what to do at home and why it helps.

  3. Hands-on treatment

Massage, joint work and soft-tissue release to get the movement back. The exercises are what make it stay.

  4. Progress you can see

Clear goals set on the first day, then checked again later. Progress is tracked and logged every session, so you are not guessing.

  5. Machines help. They don't do the work.

Electrical stimulation, TENS and hot or cold packs all have their place. Their place is supporting the treatment, not replacing it.

Service 01

Personalized physical therapy

The heart of the practice. One-to-one sessions built around your problem and your goal, so you get back to the things you actually want to do. Not a room full of people on machines.

  • A full one-to-one visit with your clinician, every time
  • Your exercise plan on the first day, not weeks later
  • Hands-on treatment: massage, joint work and soft-tissue release
  • Clear goals, tracked and logged every session
  • Electrical stimulation, TENS and hot or cold therapy when they help
  • What to keep doing once you finish, so it does not come back

Service 02

Strength & conditioning

Getting stronger, safely, with someone who knows what your joints can take. Built around your goals, and built to become a habit rather than a six-week burst.

Training in the clinic

Train on your own schedule
A plan written for you that you follow at your own gym, in your own time, with text access to ask questions. Pay as you go, no subscription.
Prehab: staying out of trouble
A screening to spot what is most likely to injure you, and the work to shore it up before it does.

Service 03

Sport-specific rehabilitation

Get back to competing with confidence. Proper testing tells us when you are actually ready, and we train the rest of you while the injured part catches up, so you do not lose the fitness you worked for.

Rehab carries on until you can handle what your sport actually asks of you:

  • Field sports
  • Court sports
  • Water sports
  • Combat sports

Going back to play is a decision based on test results, not on the calendar or on how long it has been. Ordinary therapy stops when the pain stops. This stops when you can prove the body part can take the load again.

04 / New at BodyForge

Professional recovery.Thirty minutes.

A weekend recovery session at BodyForge is thirty minutes of hands-on work run by the same clinical team that handles the rehab. Recovery with a clinical edge, not a spa. In, reset, and back to your day.

A clinician's hands working along the side of a patient's knee during a recovery session.

What a session is built from

Saturdays 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, by appointment. Single sessions from $85, and $49 for a first session while founding places last.

  1. Licensed clinicians

The people who run your recovery session are the people who run the rehab floor. They know when to press and when to stop.

  2. Thirty minutes

Long enough to change how you feel, short enough to fit a Saturday morning around everything else.

  3. No lock-in

Start with a single session. Membership exists because people ask for it, not because you have to sign anything to walk in.

05 / Who treats you

Dr. David Perez-EspinosaPT, DPT · Founder

BodyForge started with a simple idea: that you should get a clinician's full attention, and that your care should be about all of you, not rushed through by the clock.

The range is unusual for one person. He has worked with older patients rebuilding the confidence to walk without a stick, weekend athletes trying to keep training through an injury, NFL players, and UFC fighters. What they need could not be more different. The approach does not change: find the problem, work on it, measure it again.

He serves as Program Director of the Geriatrics Special Interest Group of the Florida Physical Therapy Association, and is a Polestar-educated Pilates instructor.

Empower individuals through personalized physical therapy and training that fosters wellness, resilience, and a balanced lifestyle.

The BodyForge mission, in his words
  • DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy
  • FPTA Program Director, geriatrics group
  • PMA Polestar-trained Pilates instructor
  • S&C Strength and conditioning specialist
The BodyForge clinical team, three clinicians standing together at the clinic on West Flagler Street.

The practice has grown. The rule has not.

You are matched with the clinician who fits what you are dealing with, and you stay with that person from your first visit to your last. It will not always be Dr. Perez-Espinosa, and whoever it is, the session is yours alone.

06 / In their words

Three patients, unedited

"After just five weeks of working with David, her progress was so remarkable that even our orthopedic surgeon was impressed."

When my 80-year-old mother underwent knee surgery after a fall, I knew finding the right physical therapist would be crucial for her recovery. After interviewing several professionals, I was fortunate to find David, who is an absolute gem.

David approached my mom's therapy with a personalized touch, carefully tailoring the plan to her specific needs and limitations. Her recovery journey wasn't without challenges—she also suffered a rib fracture, which delayed the start of therapy and left her knee very stiff. Despite these setbacks, David was patient, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. His thoughtful approach helped her regain confidence and strength with each session.

After just five weeks of working with David, her progress was so remarkable that even our orthopedic surgeon was impressed. David didn't just focus on her knee—he paid attention to her overall well-being, ensuring her therapy would support long-term mobility and health.

My mom has made an incredible recovery thanks to David's dedication and expertise. I'm beyond grateful for the care and support he provided. If you're looking for a physical therapist who genuinely cares and delivers outstanding results, I wholeheartedly recommend David!

Knee replacement, age 80

"I felt strong, empowered and like I was in the best shape I've been in years."

I had the good fortune to meet David when I needed mandatory PT to get an MRI for my hip. I'm an active person, yet after a few weeks with David, I felt like a different person. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his profession. That intelligence combined with his caring, compassion and attention to detail helped me successfully complete my rehab after hip replacement. I was so happy with the results from working with David on my hip, that I am now seeing him for my knee.

Hip replacement, now in knee rehab

"He set me up with the tools and knowledge to continue improving and avoid injuries."

David is truly exceptional! I was recovering from a knee injury, and he played a crucial role in getting me back to running. He went above and beyond in every session, from the first meeting to the end of treatment. He was always responsive to my questions and feedback. His knowledge, experience, and great attitude set him apart. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of care.
